Plagiarism and Duplication
Plagiarism is unequivocally forbidden and will not be accepted under any circumstances. Any instance of plagiarism, such as copying, paraphrasing, or reusing previously published material without appropriate attribution, will lead to the manuscript's rejection and may result in sanctions against the author. HNUE Journal of Education Science employs Turnitin, a plagiarism detection software, to ensure the authenticity of submitted manuscripts. The manuscript with the similarity rate higher than 25% will not be considered for assesment.
Publication Ethics
Responsibilities of Authors
- Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original and properly acknowledge and cite sources when using the work or ideas of others. Plagiarism is a serious violation of publication ethics.
- Authorship and Contributorship: Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the research. All named authors should have participated sufficiently in the work to take public responsibility for the content.
- Data Integrity: Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the data presented in their manuscripts. Data manipulation or fabrication is unacceptable.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors should disclose any financial or personal relationships that could be perceived as potential conflicts of interest and that might influence the interpretation of the work.
- Informed Consent: If human subjects are involved, authors must have obtained informed consent, and the research must have been conducted ethically in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Multiple or Redundant Publication: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously, and they should avoid redundant publication (publishing the same work in multiple places without proper citation).
Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Confidentiality: Reviewers must keep the content of the manuscript and their reviews confidential. They should not discuss the work with others or use the information for personal gain.
- Objectivity and Impartiality: Reviewers should provide unbiased, constructive, and objective feedback. Personal or professional biases should not influence the review process.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest, whether it's due to a competitive, collaborative, or other relationship with the authors.
- Timeliness: Reviewers should complete their reviews in a timely manner, and if they cannot meet the deadline, they should inform the editor promptly.
Responsibilities of Editors
- Fair and Impartial Handling:Editors should evaluate manuscripts based on their academic merit, without regard to the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, or institutional affiliation.
- Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff must keep all information related to submitted manuscripts confidential. They should not disclose information about the manuscript or its review process.
- Conflict of Interest: Editors should recuse themselves from the review process if they have a conflict of interest with the authors. Decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript should be based on the quality of the work.
- Publication Decisions: Editorial decisions should be based on the manuscript's importance, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal's scope, as well as the reviewers' comments. Decisions should not be influenced by commercial interests or personal relationships.
- Addressing Ethical Issues: Editors should be vigilant for potential ethical issues, such as plagiarism or data fabrication, and take appropriate action when necessary, including retracting or correcting published articles.
Declaration of Competing Interests
All authors submitting manuscripts to our journal are required to declare any financial or personal relationships with individuals or organizations that could be viewed as potentially influencing their work. Authors are required to disclose all potential conflicts of interest at the time of submission, and the information will be kept confidential while the paper is under review. If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the conflicts of interest will be disclosed in a footnote on the first page of the article. The editors of our journal reserve the right to reject papers if any potential conflicts of interest are not disclosed or if the disclosed conflicts are judged to be potentially biasing the work.
